Based in Bowden next to the Lutheran Archives, the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) History Centre houses a wide variety of South Australian football artefacts, including pictures, trophies, footballs and archival video footage of past Grand Finals and is cared for by a dedicated team of passionate volunteers.

An exhibition In a League of its own: Celebrating 140 years of SANFL featuring unique memorabilia from the SANFL History Centre, in collaboration with the State Library of SA  was held in the Institute Building in 2017.
